The Open Window Project is an exciting, visiting curriculum that comes to each program at
Needham
Children's Center once per month. Christine Day, the Owner/Operator of the Program, is an experienced preschool teacher, and mother of four herself. She brings stimulating, and fascinating topics designed to challenge the children’s minds and spark their imaginations.
The projects she shares are adapted to be age appropriate for each classroom. She will "open windows" on all sorts of topics: lobstering, cooking, maple sugaring, yoga, art, drama, history, classic children's stories, and lots of fun, messy crafts. These monthly visits are a real highlight, and a wonderful opportunity for NCC students to explore particular topics in depth.
Christine’s visits often “open windows” that spark on-going explorations to be continued within our classrooms leaving lasting reminders of the fun visit, and the possibility of more adventure…..just outside the window………….
