After School
The afterschool program at Needham Children’s Center is designed for children from grades one through five, and is fun, low-key, and neighborhood-like. Our program is open from September through the the last day of public school in June. Children are offered healthy snacks and a meeting time, and then can make choices about their day, including cooking, arts and crafts, games, sports, bowling, skating, computers, pottery, homework, and field trips.
The staff at Needham Children’s Center respects the power of play and fosters the development of children through a carefully planned, flexible program. Our program is open no-school days, early release days, and snow days. During school vacations the staff plan various field trips in and around the local Boston area.
